Antenatal Class
Having a baby is one of the most important events of your life and feeling prepared can make all the difference. Taking a course can be a vital part of that preparation, providing both education and an opportunity to make life-long friends with people on the same journey. Our antenatal classes are midwife led, evidence-based, comprehensive, fun, professional and informative, covering everything from the third trimester through labour and birth to the first few weeks with your precious new arrival. The safe environment of our classes will give you the opportunity to ask questions at any time, easing anxieties, giving you the knowledge and confidence to plan your labour and birth and supporting you to adjust to life as a family. We recommend joining our classes at around 24 weeks but you can attend antenatal courses at any stage of your pregnancy.
Hypnobirthing
Being as prepared as you want to be for the birth of your baby is key to having a positive experience. Knowledge is power and by learning about the birth processes and techniques with which to deal with what may occur, you will become ready to have ‘the right birth on the day’. This four week course, using The Wise Hippo hypnobirthing method, combines deep relaxation and breathing techniques, visualisation, and self-hypnosis. It encourages you to develop life-long habits of positive thinking, easy and deep relaxation techniques and empowering communication between you and your birth partner. All these skills will enable you to have the right birth on the day for you and your baby, and to have the best possible start as a new family. It can be particularly beneficial for people who have previous birthing experience and want to gain unique and effective ways to feel empowered, confident and positive about the birth of their next baby.

Meet Our Midwife
Helena qualified as a midwife in 1996 and has extensive experience in all areas of midwifery but her passion is ante natal support for parents to be and helping them through those early foggy days!
Originally from Sussex, Helena trained and started her career over in East Anglia and moved to Warwickshire in 1999 where she took time out of midwifery to raise three boys of her own. She returned to midwifery practice in 2008, working at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch before moving
to Warwick in 2016. Helena also ran her own charity for ten years, travelling with teams of midwives to Sierra Leone in West Africa, to teach the local midwives life saving midwifery skills.
Helena is married to Chris and lives just outside Kineton where she helps with their flock of 200 sheep and running social events in the local village.
Helena leads our ante natal and hypnobirthing courses here at Naturally Baby, and is available for ongoing ante natal and post natal support in our Baby Hub on the first floor.
